Last weekend I was in Bristol to play at The Love Inn with my good friend Nick Kagame, all night long, which was super fun. The club was almost completely empty for the first 90 minutes and then suddenly it was really busy. The crowd were up for dancing and we kept a cool groove going. People started filtering out in the final hour and Nick closed the night with DJ Python’s epic ‘Angel’. The last time I heard that track was played off a phone speaker at an afterparty in Hanoi on lots of K, but that’s a different story…

Noods Radio

The show features a couple of tracks from the new Synthesize Minds Vol. 1 compilation on Huey Mnemonic’s Subsonic Ebonics label, a new favourite track from Malin Genie & Frits Wentink, who I’d never heard of until IG suggested the promo post for their new EP to me last week (IG is good for something, then), a track off the immaculate upcoming EP from Uplink, and Dana aka Dimbi Kuehr’s amazing remix of Timur Basha. I finished with some UK garage because DJ Perception was on after me, but he was late for his show so he missed it. C’est la vie.

It’s the next label party at Arkaoda in Neukölln, with three DJs I respect very much. It’s the first time either Nick or Alex will have played in Berlin. Join us and kick off your Easter weekend correctly!

Finally, if you’re reading this from the US and might want me to DJ for you, I am coming over at the end of June/early July and then again around Campout in August. In June I’ll be playing at Loose Ends weekender at the Dunes Resort near Chicago, then SF for Pride, and NYC around 4 July. In August, I’ll be around a week or two before and after the festival and I’m open to travel (and theme parks!), so get in touch if you’re doing anything and want me involved.
