I’ve spent most of this week wanting to write about my gig last week at Musicbox here in Lisbon, but each time I start writing I go down a rabbit hole of rather incoherent DJ philosophising that’s rather removed from the real creative feels I’m having at the moment. So I’m going to try another tack that has worked for me before (like my Swiss weekender or my late January adventures): I’ll focus on a handful of tracks or moments from when I was playing, as a way of accessing those more underlying elements of what the night was like for me, what I took from it and what it says about where I’m going. At least that’s the idea…
