Flamingo #42 (15/06/22): Live at El Cuerpo Del Disco

This month’s Flamingo is a 2-hour recording of me playing at El Cuerpo Del Disco back in April. This night was overdue since last year when I missed a flight connection and had to spend the night in an airport hotel in Rome. Meanwhile all my friends in Madrid were celebrating the full reopening of clubs with actual dancing. FOMO x100.

So April came around and I had a chance to make up for last time. The venue, El Sótano, is a bit characterless in some respects but has a surprisingly good sound system, which I enjoyed as Eloi and Yayo from ECD did a lovely warm-up. By the time I came on, the club was pretty busy and people were dancing - which is a big advantage Madrid has over Lisbon (on average anyway). I opened with a couple of current staples - Fritz Valley Project, Patrick Cowley - and off we went.
