This month’s DJ mix is heavy on percussion, big kick drums and, well, club bangers. There’s highly-danceable syncopation (the unusual production from Armand Van Helden that opens the mix, that insane Nev remix of Vapourspace, and Gavnlig’s thrilling ‘Speak Up’) and straight-up 4/4 belters (Hardfloor, Sedef Adasi and 95 Steps), with a bit of dark electro(clash?) smuggled in the middle.
