A fun convo I had
Since I submitted the manuscript for Mind Game at the beginning of March, I’ve been trying to lay low. Outside of playing significantly more Kirby and the Forgotten Land (on “spring breeze mode,” don’t judge), I haven’t been terribly successful. I’ve continued to copy edit magazine pages. I made a brief appearance at SXSW (and got some tacos). I filed a freelance essay I’m really excited to share with you, in theory next month.
And here’s my newest Sports Illustrated story, which I’d love for you to take a gander at. It’s a quick Q&A I did with LSU and Lynx legend Seimone Augustus. We chatted about the Tigers’ NCAA tourney win, the evolution of WNBA draft fashion, trans rights in sports, and, as they say in Q&A parlance, so much more. I also asked for her 2023 WNBA championship prediction, and her take was unexpectedly spicy! You’ll Have to Click Here to Find Out What I Mean.
I have another SI feature in the works, too, that I’m hoping to share soonish. I’ve done a stupid number of interviews for it already.
Two other notes
Read my buddy Howard Megdal on the changing nature of WNBA media access
I am now the kind of person who owns “feet marbles” for physical therapy purposes
Enjoy the rest of your week!
