Saturday marked one month to go until the launch of Finding Renée Richards. It’ll be in bookstores, libraries, e-readers, and headphones (yes, there’s an audiobook!) near you on August 18. I’m tickled that my hairstylist seems very excited to read it. Hope you are also excited.

If you haven’t placed a preorder yet, please consider doing so. If you want that copy to be signed, your best bet is my hometown Astoria Bookshop (they ship!). If you order from someplace else, though, just shoot me your address and I’ll happily send out a signed bookplate to stick in your copy.

Events so far

• Queens, August 24: Astoria Bookshop is graciously hosting my first event. I’ll be in conversation with Changeover author Giri Nathan. The exact location is still TBD, but you can RSVP here.
• Brooklyn, August 25: I’m gonna do Squawkin’ Sports again! Their tennis edition last year was so fun, and I’m psyched to be a part of this year’s. Snag your ticket.
• Boston, September 16: New Yorker writer Louisa Thomas and I will be at Brookline Booksmith. RSVP here.
