This is a friendly reminder that James Madison College is hosting an M. Richard Zinman Scholar in Residence lecture tomorrow:
Isocrates and the Socratics: Recovering Isocratic Philosophy for Political Science
Presented by Dr. Ariel Helfer, Associate Professor at Wayne State University
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 5 p.m.

Dr. Helfer will discuss Isocrates — a contemporary and rival of Plato — and his relationship to Socratic philosophy, revealing an influential tradition that shaped Western thought from ancient Greece through the Renaissance. Alumni and friends of the college are encouraged to attend.
