Giving Tuesday: Nearly $20,000 raised for emergency fund
Alumni, faculty, staff and friends rallied behind JMC students for Giving Tuesday!
Message from Dean Cameron Thies
Dear JMC Alumni,
The James Madison College community demonstrated extraordinary generosity in its support of the Emergency Scholarship Fund yesterday. Alumni, faculty, staff and friends rallied behind our students, donating nearly 99% of our $20,000 Giving Tuesday goal.

We are proud that JMC maintains one of the highest four-year graduation rates at MSU, with 59% of first-year Madison students graduating within four years — 20% higher than the university average. The Emergency Scholarship Fund is a key element of our college’s commitment to student success. These scholarships allow Madisonians to stay enrolled and reach their academic goals in the face of unexpected financial hardships.
On behalf of James Madison College — deans, faculty, academic advisors, staff and students — thank you for your support and investing in our students.
Go Green!
Cameron G. Thies
Dean and MSU Foundation Professor
