Support Early Start on Give Green Day
Dear JMC Alumni,
I have the pleasure of leading James Madison’s Early Start Program. Four years ago, JMC alumnus Troy Calkins (IR '88) donated to James Madison College with the goal of increasing the sense of belonging among incoming first-generation students. Since that time, the program has been a source of support for nearly 90 students.
JMC students who have participated in Early Start share their reflections on the program in the YouTube video below:
Early Start students have visited the Federal Reserve in Washington D.C., met Michigan Supreme Court justices, attended MSU basketball games, received mentoring from James Madison faculty and alumni and made lasting friendships. Students who participate in Early Start enter James Madison equipped to succeed academically and socially and become leaders within our JMC community and beyond. Working with these brilliant students is an honor and gives me hope for our future.
Next Tuesday, March 10, James Madison College will focus its Give Green Day efforts on our Early Start Program. Your support will enable us to continue providing top-notch resources to our students and the program.
Please consider giving to our Give Green Day initiative. Go Green, and thanks for supporting our students.
