Celebrating New Birth! Jimmy Angel in Columbus, OH
Hi Everyone,
What a beginning to 2024! On January 10, JJ was born. At birth he was 6 pounds, 4 ounces (though at the doctor today, in April, he was exactly twice that - 12 pounds 8 ounces) and 19 inches long (now 23 inches). He’s a happy, healthy 3 month old boy, and Sarah and I love him immensely.
Not only have we been celebrating new birth in the Angel family, but in our Redemption Hill Church family as well. Sean first visited RHC with his wife Niki in the fall of 2023. He grew up in the same faith tradition as I did, and we naturally connected. Sean and I met weekly to read a gospel-centered book together and how the Scriptures pointed to salvation by grace alone through faith in Christ alone. Over time, the Lord opened his eyes to His glory and goodness. I am happy to say that now Sean is my brother through repentance and faith in Jesus. Redemption Hill had the privilege of baptizing him on February 18.
Transformations like Sean’s are possible because of your praying and giving. God is using Redemption Hill to glorify Himself in West Columbus!
Redemption Hill also added five new members in March. We are overjoyed to have Walt, Lynn, Sasha, Dave and Deb as part of our church family.
We also hosted our annual Good Friday service. Along with brothers and sisters on mission teams from partner churches, RHC members invited our neighbors both in person and through door hangers. We had five visitors come via those door hangers! Praise the Lord that He is working in our city.
Prayer Requests:
In June and July we have major outreach events in our community. We will be having two block parties and two sports camps to build relationships.
Please pray Isaiah 40:3-4 for our events - that no logistics would interfere or slow the sharing of the good news.
Pray that we as RHC members would be bold to share the gospel.
Pray that we would build friendships with lost people for the sake of Jesus’ name.
