Celebrating Jesus' Resurrection - Jimmy Angel in Columbus, OH
Greetings from Columbus and Redemption Hill Church! The last few months have allowed us to share the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection with many people in our community. I also witnessed God bless Redemption Hill’s kids' ministry and a massive milestone for JJ!
MINISTRY UPDATES:
Good Friday and Easter Services: Redemption Hill and our partner churches invited people to church via door hangers. I also personally invited many friends to church. We distributed approximately four thousand door hangers in our community! I helped coordinate and lead the teams and participated in the distribution.
New Kids Class: Redemption Hill launched a new class for preschoolers! This allows our elementary and preschool-aged kids to learn the Bible in a setting geared for their developmental stage. As Children’s Ministry Director, I cast vision for the class, recruited new leaders and teachers, and ensured our volunteers had the needed resources.
Consistent Growth: New people are visiting Redemption Hill most weeks! Many of them are also attending community groups, and we are in the process of organizing our second new members’ class since January.
FAMILY UPDATES:
Sarah’s school year comes to a close in May. She looks forward to having more time to garden this summer, where she plants wildflowers, fruits, and vegetables.
JJ took his first steps! As of this writing, he still prefers crawling (and he’s a pretty quick crawler!). But he is becoming more independent, walking every day.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
June Sports Camp and Block Party: Pray for Pastor Josh and me as we plan for the sports camp and block party. Pray that God would bring lost people who would hear the gospel and believe.
Women’s Bible Study: Pray for Sarah as she leads the ladies of Redemption Hill to study the Bible together.
Guest Follow Up: Pray that God would bless our conversations with those who have visited our church. Pray especially for lost people to be drawn to Christ through the gospel.
