Idea No. F90,014: a neologism in service of embracing neurodiversity
Well, I think we can all agree that Idea No. F90,013 didn't work as intended.
Moving on. The other day I had a work-related Zoom scheduled for 8pm and as I was apologizing for my general incoherence during the call, I kept saying that it was "past my bedtime." Which was not true at all. I don't get to bed before 11pm on a good night.
What I actually meant was that I was past my medtime. This seemed so perfect that I was surprised I hadn't heard it before and even more suprised when my Google search returned nothing.
medtime (n.) 1. the time of day at which one's medications, specifically those used to treat ADHD, have worn off
I have been trying to send this Jibe Ho! for several days now but since I always sit down to write after my medtime I am just finishing it now.
