A New Home
Welcome Home
As you may or may not know, I've been doing some re-arranging this year. In the past, I used MailChimp to manage my mailing list for people who wished to subscribe to my blog.
Re-vitalizing my blog is another item on my to-do list for 2024.
Last month I migrated to a new platform Buttondown.email. I will be using this site to periodically send newsletters such as this one. Let's me get you caught up on items of interest for the next few months.
PowerShell Summit
The most important item is the upcoming PowerShell+DevOps Global Summit being help April 8-11 in Bellevue, WA. This is the event for PowerShell professionals. I promise this will be the most intense event you ever attend. Not only is the content off-the-chart, the social and community aspects are what people remember. I have yet to meet anyone who said this event was a waste of time and money. If PowerShell is part of your day job, this is the event for you. You can see the schedule here
PSStyle: PowerShell with Style
On March 13, I will be doing a virtual presentation for the PowerShell user group in Rhein-Neckar.

I'll be talking about how to use PSStyle to enhance your PowerShell work. Even though the meeting is for a German group, I will be presenting in English. You can register on their Meetup site.
Writing Better PowerShell Code
On April 3, I will present virtually again for the Research Triangle Park PowerShell User Group. My topic is on writing better PowerShell code, based on my years of writing and teaching. This is always a great group. The event hasn't been added to their MeetUp calendar yet, but it will be an evening event usually beginning around 6:30PM Eastern time. Watch social media for registrations links.
Behind the PowerShell Pipeline
I also moved my premium PowerShell newsletter from Substack to Buttondown. New articles are coming from this site and all previously published content has been migrated to a new archive. Paid subscribers have access to all previously published material. You can learn more and subscribe at https://buttondown.email/behind-the-powershell-pipeline
Summary
These newsletters will be archived at https://buttondown.email/jhicks/archive/. I didn't move anything from MailChimp because none of the content was relevant anymore. I need to update the landing page for this newsletter, but that is where you can log in to view the content online. You can unsubscribe at any time.
I still expect this to be a low-volume newsletter centered on my blog, my PowerShell-related events and content, and things I think you should know about in the PowerShell community.
