I sincerely respect the second panel here, in which Dustin's mom, having briefly attempted and failed to engage her husband about the upcoming anniversary of their nuptials, just turns around and walks away silently. She doesn't make any attempt at a "fun" witty rejoinder, and she doesn't even get mad. Oh well! She tried! Guess she'll just leave her husband to hang out with their son, who he doesn't even like!
