🐒 Kibale National Park

(often called Kibale Forest) is East Africa's premier primate sanctuary, spanning 766 square kilometres of moist evergreen and semi-deciduous tropical rainforest in western Uganda.

🚘 How to Get There

• 🛣️ By Road: Approximately 310 km from Kampala (5 to 6 hours drive). The route goes via Mubende to Fort Portal, continuing 26 km south along a paved road to Kanyanchu.

🛩️ Airstrips & Flight Access

Daily scheduled and private charter flights depart Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip (~1 hour flight):

• ✈️ Kasese Airstrip: Located approximately 1 hour's drive southwest of the park.

• ✈️ Nyakisharara Airstrip (Mbarara): Alternative landing strip for southern circuit transfers.
