Good morning! Welcome to the ten day mark from the end of my first direct crowdfund! If I told you I didn’t have heartburn about all of this, I’d be lying!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We’ve got ten days left and less than a thousand dollars to make up before it all comes to a close. This is manageable but we are going to end up closer to the closing bell than I would like! Let me remind you what we’re making and funding here:

We are funding two brand new first issues for two different books, both written by me. We are printing them as a reversible flip book, with the first issue of The Girlfriend Survives by myself, Luc Nakashoji, and Jamie Noguchi on one side and SLAY! by myself, Alex Smith, and Kelly Fitzpatrick on the other side, lettered by Taylor Esposito. What’s in it for you?

Of course it’s not much of a crowdfund if you don’t get anything for helping us fund it, is it? Well, the good news is almost all of our tiers still have at least one item left. So, what are some cool things you can get with your contribution?

Obviously, there’s the book:

If a digital copy is all you want, you can drop in $10 and you’re good to go. For $18, you can get the full physical double issue or Jamie Noguchi’s variant. You can even get both covers for $33 or if you love the original covers as they are, get art prints of them for your walls with the normal covers for $34.

If you’re a comics retailer, you can get a pack of five, SIGNED, for just $45. Only one retailer has jumped in so far, so you know it’s a wide open market.

But if you have a few bucks extra and you want something really special, well, we can hook you up there. There are options for physical or digital commissions from Alex Smith, Luc Nakashoji, and Jamie Noguchi. Luc’s is digital and available for $75 while Alex and Jamie are offering physical commissions of your choosing for $150 each, which is a steal for either of those guys.

There is one item left for which we only have one available and that is my creative consultation

This isn’t something I normally offer, because frankly I have my own stuff to work on. However, if you chip in $75 to help me make my thing, you can get an option to have me help you make your thing. I’ll go over your outline or script with you, talk about things you’re doing well or bring ideas for how you might improve your pitch. Listen, I know you might be a fan of mine and not see the appeal in the cover of this book. It’s not Princeless and it’s not Unstoppable Wasp, but there is more DNA for those things in here than you think. Most importantly, though, it keeps me moving forward and able to create new things. If I am stuck trying to fund or sell one project, I can’t be working on the next one - be that new Princeless, more Dog Knight, or the next new thing like Navigating with You.
