I hope you’re doing well! It feels like it’s been forever since I sent out a newsletter and I wanted to update people on where I’ll be and what is happening.

I’m doing this too late to tell you that I was at Heroes, but it’s okay because I was completely wiped out and spent half of Friday struggling to fight sleep as I tried to be good to people who came to see me. I got some sleep instead of socializing after and the rest of the con was better, but I did not get to do my usual drinking and talking comics till 2 in the morning. However…

ALA!

In less than a week I am headed out to the American Library Association show in Chicago! I’m so excited to see the amazing contingent of librarians there! I can’t wait to see the new books everyone has coming out! I’m psyched to eat a pizza so deep that it plays a guitar and wears its hair in a manbun.

I will be in Artist’s Alley at table 1951 for most of the weekend and would love for anybody who’s getting this to come visit me! I’ll have Dog Knights, Navigating with Yous and hopefully all three School for Extraterrestrial Girls-es.

Also, if you’re in town on Friday, come see the Graphic Novel and Comics Round Table with me, my extremely book-banned friend Maia Kobabe, and not yet but soon to be friend The Kao! We’ll be talking about our books and writing queer and banned graphic novels and also officially being put on GNCRT’s list of must-read graphic novels (I don’t think that’s what it’s called, but I am not sure where to look).
