Exciting announcement to start things off: I’m working on crowdfunding for a new comic! It’s called “SLAY!”

My buddy Alex Smith and I have been working on this book in the background for quite a while, through a lot of other projects and life changes and now we’re finally ready to get the first issue out there. We’d love if you’d sign up for notifications on Zoop right now!

This book is about Leilah Jalani, a wannabe monster hunter in a post-apocalyptic future. In order to get a contract to take care of a monster plaguing a town, she pretends to be the legendary monster slayer, The Scarred Rider. But when she immediately gets in over her head, there’s no one there to save her. Unless, somehow, the legendary slayer she’s been pretending to be is closer by than she realizes…

Harvey Awards

So, you may have heard, but “Navigating with You” did not win the Harvey for Best YA Graphic Novel. But it was an honor to be nominated and even more of an honor to have a ton of folks show up to support me and this book. Special thanks to my editor Lauren, my good friend and podcast cohost Ben, the whole Mad Cave team, and everybody’s favorite EIC Mike Martz for making this NYCC wonderful and showing their love!

Strange Tales #1: Out Now

Strange Tales #1 from Marvel Comics hit stands this past week and has been receiving rave reviews! The thing I’ve seen the most posts about is Bayleigh’s artwork and BOY, do I get that. It has been such a joy on this series to get to share her talent with you all. Every week I get a new group of amazing pages in my inbox and can’t wait for you all to see them. I mean, look at these inks!

If you’re not already picking it up, you should go grab it now and pre-order the next few issues, because it’s gonna be a wild ride!
