Happy March!

I don’t know if this was the case for all of you, but February felt super long for me (ironic, I know, considering its relative length). Anyway, March is here, I turn 42 this month (soon, I will be the answer to life the universe, and everything! Okay, let me fill you in on a few things going on this month!

Stretch Goal!

Thank you so much to everyone that helped get our Zoop campaign to its funding goal with a week left! As I send this your way, there are three days left on the campaign and we’re trying to reach our one and only funding goal of $6000. If you missed it, our stretch goal is to unlock a collection of out of print digital comics from the whole creative team. This includes a number of cool comics from Luc and Jamie as well as two you might recognize from me: the first volumes of Princeless and Raven Pirate Princess.

We’ve got three days to get about $750 to make that happen. Look, obviously I’d like to make it, but we met our funding goal, so we’ll be fine if we don’t. However, it would mean lots of cool digital comics for everybody that’s already backing us, so go check it out!

School is back in session!

The cover for School for Extraterrestrial Girls Volume 3

I hope you’re not tired of me and Jamie Noguchi yet, because the third volume of our School for Extraterrestrial Girls trilogy is coming out May 19th and you can order it now!

This time the girls are supposed to be enjoying summer vacation, but as usual things don’t go as planned. An armada from Tara’s home planet on its way to Earth and nobody can work out what they want. It has something to do with a message sent out from a certain sniveling boys’ headmaster, but what could it be? Are they after Misako? Could it have something to do with Tara’s fake parents? Or are they after Tara herself? Will Misako decide how she feels about Tara before everything falls apart? And what mysterious item is Agent Stone hiding on the space station circling Earth? All will be answered in this final chapter!

The links here are to my little storefront within Bookshop’s website where you can find my list of all the stuff I’ve written that’s currently in print though feel free to order it through your local book or comic book store! I won’t be mad at you if you order it through Amazon, but there are a lot of great independent stores out there to support and it would be great if you found one that could use your money to star afloat rather than using it to pay AI to dub anime poorly.

CON SEASON STRIKES BACK!

Oh dear lord, con season is here again! I have my first few shows of the year coming up in the next few weeks, so let me tell you where I’ll be! Maybe you can come see me! That would be swell!

3/26-3/29 - Lexington Comic and Toy Convention - Lexington, KY

4/4 - Oak City Mini-Con - Raleigh, NC

4/25 - Fayetteville Tech Comic Con - Fayetteville, NC

Progressively Horrified!

If you haven’t gone through the new and old issues we posted for Black Directors’ Month, I highly recommend it! Sinners is an obvious favorite, as well as the many hits of Jordan Peele, but there’s some great classics and hidden gems in there too!

March is more casual, not having a big theme but covering some movies we really loved and we’ll sure you’ll want to talk about too! Here’s our preliminary schedule:

3/6 - Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein w/Greg Silber

3/13 - Talk to Me w/Asia Simone

3/20 - Bring Her Back w/Cullen Bunn

3/27 - (Patreon Only) Jupiter Ascending w/Nix

Okay, I think that’s it for this month’s edition! See you again soon!
