Boy, it has been a year. It has felt like a decade, but it has been a year. Professionally, in a lot of ways, it’s been a good one for me. I won a couple of lovely awards, got nominated for a couple of other ones, and I did perhaps too many conventions.

But I feel like I’ve spent too long talking about my last book and I’m ready to work on my next one. I’m ready for 2026 and I want you to come with me!

SLAY! Launching on Zoop in 2026

My buddy Alex and I have been working on this one issue of this monster hunting comic forever. He has been through the ringer on his end and for a while it seemed like we were never going to finish this issue.

SLAY is about a wannabe monster hunter who pretends to be the real deal and immediately gets in over her head. Not only does she have to deal with a monster, but of course she runs afoul of the woman she’s pretending to be.

Now it’s done and we’re ready to fund it. All we need now is you! We’re bringing SLAY! to Zoop in 2026 and we need to build up enough people following the campaign to launch it.
