Eat This Newsletter 226 announced my Xmas Quiz. Today, we have a winner.
Maarten van Ginkel in Amsterdam had the best score overall, with 14 points out of a possible 18. A gift certificate has been despatched for him to spend at his leisure.
If Maarten’s name seems familiar, that may be because you remember the episode in which I interviewed myself about biofortification and hidden hunger. He and I co-authored the paper that was the basis of that episode. Obviously a smart co-author to have.
Nobody knew the secret of Mr Song’s string cheese, not even Maarten, and only one person knew the exchange rate for subsidised Egyptian flatbreads and cigarettes. Same for Patrik Johansson’s special diet when he is making butter.
