Well, the quote is from a press release, so it is a bit hyped up, but the story of the radish that made Long Beach, Mississippi, famous is rather interesting, and raises some difficult questions about the identity of vegetable varieties.

I talked to the sleuth cum Indiana Jones and a genebank manager about the case of the resurrected radish.
