Normally, I'm the last person in the world to know about the international day of this, that or the other. Not this year.

This year is different, because Laura Valli sent me a message about her work setting up the only porridge cafe in her native Estonia and competing in the World Porridge Making Championships in Scotland. As a result of our conversation, I'm well prepared for World Porridge Day on 10 October.
