Why is this man having a shave while he is being served a cappuccino?

Because he has time. The coffee is so hot it is going to take a while to reach drinkable temperature. During which time he can not only shave but also chat up some girls, dance to the jukebox and maybe even be discovered as a rock’n’roll star.
