There was a time in my career where writing tests for my code seemed like an overwhelming requirement. As I grew in my career, I came to embrace testing as a necessity for writing software.

How do you know your software works if you can’t test it?

This has never been more true than with the advent of generative AI. Day by day, more and more of us are leaning on AI agent counterparts to help us write software. And testing is still an important part of that.

I remember the first time testing really clicked for me. I was working on a bowling game kata, and it really solidified the concept for me for some reason. What was your first adventure into testing?
