year ends/begins
what a year, eh? mothershitfuck. i dont know what i expected, and if 2025 was better or worse than that. but not gonna lie- i am tired and worried for my queer sibs, especially those who are poc/trans. still, some sort of positivity must be held on to, or we’re all doomed- for me that is family/ART/community, of which i consider all of you a part.
i dropped the jo bled moniker this year, and am releasing art as jabe ledoux going forward. i outgrew the use of an alias, plus people were referring to me as jo which was not cool (haha). i think my music got noisier- this was not intentional, but apparently the next phase of evolution. but not to fear, at least 1 of the releases below is pure old-timey drum action.

Yazzfest:
I brought back my experimental music festival Vermont Yazz Fest (formerly BTV Yazz Fest) this past August in Ferrisburgh VT. it was overwhelmingly successful, both in attendance & pure sonic creativity. I am very excited to begin planning for the 2027 version, and will take any help i can get if anyone is interested.
2026 (the future is now):
slowly starting to think of things to do next year live performance-wise. i have 2 shows booked in toronto in march, and i have applied to play at 2 other canadian festivals (one of which i think i have a chance of being accepted at). i have been asked to book an evening of experimental/noise at the burlington oddfellows hall (which is doing great work for the community) in the spring, and i hope to make my debut at standing stones wine (although i guess i did do a gong performance there already. lets call it a second debut).
here is the most recent picture of me. i was really trying to beat my wife at chinese checkers. she won by 1 move. i am motivated by the fact that it was only my second game of cc as an adult.

thanks for all your support. every interaction between myself & an audience (even a newsletter audience) is important to me and keeps me wanting to create more and more. peace, fuck trump & ICE, queer the youth etc etc
