Dad Things - Issue #41

Must Read

How to Be Happy

Develop the habit of gratitude. Savor the good moments throughout each day. Spend time thinking about happy memories. And at the end of each day, write down 5 things you are grateful for: the roof over your head, your good fortune at being born in a wealthy country, the existence of Less Wrong, the taste of chocolate, the feel of orgasm... whatever. It sounds childish, but it works.

Being grateful is something I wished I learned sooner in life. A lot of bad days can be prevented by simply flipping the situation. Instead of complaining that I have to take the kids to school, I flip the script and say I get to take the kids to school. Such an easy lifehack that can lead to a less stressful life.

Queue is such a great word. The actual important letter, and then four more silently waiting behind it in a line.
