Review of The Producers, Next Level Sketch tomorrow night!
Hello dear subscribers. How I cherish you, as a pirate cherishes his non-wooden leg.
Euan in The Producers
He was fabulous. Full review below.

The Producers: a Mel Brooks musical, Bridewell Theatre, London – jamesofwalsh
London has myriad nooks and crannies. Tucked away on an old alley off Fleet Street is the Bridewell theatre, where has-been Broadway producer Max Bialystok is resigned to a life of first-night flop…
Next Level Sketch at The Miller
Our show tomorrow looks dangerously close to selling out…

Despise sketch comedy? Good news, there’s another Factually Inaccurate impending too! It’s a frankly obscene lineup so please come along and have a nice time.

I saw FI alumni Kate Martin, Charlie Vero-Martin and Sharlin Jahan at the Museum of Comedy last night. All are well worth seeing over the summer, except I think Charlie is running off to French clown school for the season. So see the other two instead. Also excellent was Lulu Popplewell, who we will certainly secure for a future Factually Inaccurate. Particularly as she made me hold her excellent dog Dotty during her set.
I went to True Stories in Soho, an interesting night. Sadly the review I wrote got taken down as a few of the performers apparently didn’t realise they were performing in public. This has never happened to me before, not even when I gave Endless Ocean 2 one star and said that video games about labelling fish are shit. I am not a mean critic as I know how hard it is to put on a show. Each live event is a tiny magical miracle and so I always try to accentuate the positive. So I was quite bemused. I’ll probably stick it up on my personal blog eventually, and just not promote it to anyone.
Fab improv group Gamez are on late night at the Brighton Fringe this weekend.
I am going to start writing comedy reviews for the Communists again - as in, The Morning Star. I was sad to belatedly learn of the death of my old editor there, Cliff Cocker, who like a lot of old lefties lived an interesting life.

Remembering Cliff Cocker
Cliff Cocker, longstanding arts editor at the Morning Star, passed away last month aged 72. We remember his commitment to socialism, and his contributions to arts projects around the world.
That’s it for this week! Thanks for reading. I hope everyone enjoys the impending celebration of Blur’s 1994 album track.
