Burrito Falls / Simon Munnery / Joz Norris / Next Level Sketch

Sherlock Holmes had Moriarty. I have chain burrito restaurants.

Yesterday I was having a late lunch at Tortilla near London Bridge. I found a little enclave in the back corner of the restaurant, up some stairs and positioned above the kitchens and below a sloping ceiling.

I went to get some serviettes and, returning to my table, forgot all about the limited headroom. I walked straight into the brickwork, and then toppled, slowly, backwards, coming to rest at the foot of a man plugged in to some AirPods.

He asked me if I was ok, and I said I was fine, and slowly rose and retreated to my corner to scroll on my phone and ignore everyone staring at me.

But I felt pretty weird - I have since been told this is not medical terminology - and a little dazed, and ended up sleeping over twelve hours last night upon my return to Brighton.

For my next trick, I shall wrestle a Wahaca at Reichenbach Falls.

Factually Inaccurate with Simon Munnery

Thanks so much to everyone who came to @FactuallyInacc. First one for a while, bit of a weird one for obvious reasons, but all the acts were magnificent pic.twitter.com/NegpK1Z5Kw

Munnery was the first comedian I ever saw to do multimedia comedy, way back in the late nineties. He had a special wand which he pointed at members of the audience, their image appearing on the screen, as if by magic, with a loud DING and a caption. For my friend Paul, it was “sucks Alsatian cum through a straw”.

23 years later, he is in the room as I take to the stage to Skater Boi, announce the death of Avril Lavigne, and present some slides on King George V.

It was a wonderful show and I am still processing bits of it. Thanks to everyone who came, and all the brilliant acts who performed.

Joz Norris: Blink

This week’s review is Norris, who I failed to see in Edinburgh, so was happy to have another opportunity. He’s very good and very nice.
