Internships Spotlight: Nahlia Moncrief
Nahlia is a senior majoring in Social Relations and Policy with a minor in Environment & Health. Learn more about Nahlia’s internship below!

"Last year (Fall 2024 and Spring 2025), I had the opportunity to intern in the Executive Office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer. I worked specifically in Constituent Services, where I gained valuable experience connecting with fellow Michiganders, learning more about the thoughts, feelings, and questions people have across my home state. I was also able to further my understanding of my coursework as an SRP student through these interactions with constituents and various state agencies, all while working with and learning from a ton of Madison alumni, who have been incredible mentors."
Learn more about JMC’s field experience requirement on the JMC website. Students interested in planning their internship can connect with JMC Field Experience Coordinator Lauren Michalak (schedule an appointment with her via student.msu.edu).
