The importance of critical thinking and writing are skills I've carried with me throughout my professional life since my time at Madison
I'm excited to dialogue with students during this residency about our shared but unique experiences at Madison
Three words I'd use to describe Madison would probably be Service, History, and Purpose

Madisonian Mention: Leland Wagner
Learn more about Leland below!

“Hey y’all, my name is Leland Wagner. I’m a Freshman majoring in International Relations and Comparative Cultures & Politics with a minor in Business. With the knowledge I am gaining in JMC, I am hoping to join the foreign service as an Economic & Environmental Diplomat. I’m incredibly interested in how international politics affect the global economy and human rights. Currently in JMC I am serving as a Freshman Caucus member in Student Senate.
“As a first-year student here at JMC, I have found that this college is incredibly helpful with the transition from high school to college life. The advisors in JMC are some of the most efficient and knowledgeable throughout each of the residential colleges of MSU. They’ve helped me understand and solve all the crazy and complex questions that arise each week. Outside of JMC I really like to prioritize my mental health and ensure that I have free time each day to be by myself and relax. In my free time I enjoy staying active and as a member of the MSU Row Crew, we practice each day on the Grand River in Lansing, building on the idea that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Outside of everything MSU-related I really enjoy playing Rocket League & Battlefield, napping, learning history, listening to music, watching movies and overall hanging out with all my MSU friends throughout campus.”
