I'm Launching a Clothing Company!
It's finally becoming a reality! Months of work trying to figure out the best way to set up a print-on-demand shop, which sites to use, what I wanted the shirts to look like, the actual designs, setting up the financing, ordering samples, making adjustments, ordering more samples, and on and on and on. It has led to this moment... Or one in the very near future.
Global Sketch Wear is a clothing company that takes places from around the world and displays them in a simple, clean way. Another aspect of my journey to find beauty in the mundane. They aren't going to be the fanciest shirts or designs, but that's the point. It's to show what is there and recognize the beauty in what seems so ordinary.
We will be selling t-shirts, hoodies, and small canvas prints of the various designs. The front of the shirts display the iconic location, while the back will have a small map with a pinpoint of the location (between the shoulder blades).
Currently, I have four (4) designs live - all inspired from Albania - but over the coming weeks, months, and hopefully years I will be adding more designs.
Some people told me not to launch until all of the designs were up and ready because that's what you're supposed to do, but I've never been someone to do things only because I'm "supposed to." I want to build this in public, I want to show the struggles and triumphs. It's all part of the story.
If you saw my last video on YouTube, you probably saw some of the poorly printed samples that I had to work through and fix so that it wouldn't happen to any customers. That's the type of thing I want to be open and honest about throughout this entire process.
This is going to be a long uphill journey, but it's exciting. And I hope you will follow along for the ride.
