Stop worrying about links
Some of you are fixating on links like rabid dogs.
Seriously, stop it.
It's not healthy.
You need to get back to basics and making sure your site is actually usable.
Like, so easy to use, your Mum would love it.
And if it's a site that your Mum would hate, DON'T WORRY ABOUT LINKS.
Too many sites are slow, have broken images and broken links, are either stuffed with buzz words or lacking in content. Or just stupidly hard to use and have all sorts of idiotic transitions and animations.
They're TERRIBLE websites that don't deserve the megabytes they consume each second.
And THAT is why they shouldn't be concerned about their backlinks.
Because they've got bigger fish to fry.
My own site had loads of broken images and links (I got sloppy) so what did I do? I went in and fixed them. Most of the images are sorted but some of the others need work - and that's because I am struggling to find relevant images. Maybe AI can help?
Back to my point: links should be your secondary or even tertiary concern.
Getting your site in top shape should be your only concern.
Do you have enough content? Can people easily understand what you're saying? Is it easy to use on mobile? Can people move around your site easily? Do you have good internal links? Are you using images and videos in the best way possible? I could go on.
Worry about the links later on. Just don't think it's the silver bullet that makes all the difference.
Yes, in some cases, links are the key to growth. But only if your on-page is 11/10. But for most of us with crummy websites, LINKS WON'T MAKE THE TRASH WEBSITE EXPERIENCE ANY BETTER.
So stop worrying about links like a clown.
Look at your site and don't be afraid to give it a smack in the face with a cold fish.
You know it makes sense.

Jaaved
