Setbacks, sulking and SEO
No one came to Dubai SEO Club's meetup last night.
Sad face.
Just kidding.
Not sad, just disappointed.
But this isn't a pity email.
This is what it's like to work in SEO sometimes.
You do all the right things and sometimes things just fall flat.
I gave people enough notice, sent out reminders and still no one showed up.
I got there early, exchanged pleasantries with best barista in Dubai (seriously, he's got game and delivers the goods in every single cup) and waited patiently for others.
No one came.
I waited for 40 minutes alone in that cafe and no one said they were running late or that they were no longer able to make it.
That was it.
There's lots of reasons why this particular meetup fell flat.
But what's more important is not letting this setback stop progress.
Sometimes you'll do all the right things in SEO and not get anywhere fast. Or you may just remain stagnant.
You have to keep going and keep trying. Of course there will come a time when you need to cut your losses and move on.
For me, this is not that time.
I will keep at it because I'm determined to make Dubai SEO Club a success.
Even if it's just me at the end of it all.
Because SEO is life and SEO is forever.
Here's to your success in 2024. Reply to this email with your SEO woes and let me help you turn those frowns upside down.
Peace,
Jaaved
