There's been a lot of updates in SEO Land lately.

The recent Helpful Content Update has thrown many off, particularly in the travel niche.

And for good reason: too many travel sites are just trash.

Trash content littered with garbage ads.

That's what it is. And they deserve to be hit!

This is why I aint afraid of no algo update!

Not now, not ever.

Because I make sure every site I work on is a pleasure to use.

It's easy to get around, people can find things easily and I'm not shoving useless ads everywhere.

I also don't try too hard.

You may say this is lazy.

I say this is working smarter.

My own online store doesn't have any links because I don't need to focus on that.

I built a minimal site, using the basic Dawn theme and I made sure the site was super easy to use in every possible way.

My site ranks well, outranks major competitors and gets orders.

I could certainly be busier but it's fine - the thing is: it's never been hit by any algo update in the past 2 years.

And it will be this way because I'm not doing anything dodgy.

I stick to the basics, I get results, I don't fix what isn't broke.

This should be your mantra, if you too want to get long standing results without the stress of Google's algorithm updates.

If you haven't been hit, I congratulate you. Stick with it. Don't worry about trying to get yourself into Quora or Reddit or whatever.

Don't try to be cute. Sometimes vanilla is JUST FINE.
