How to MAXIMISE your ROI on the WWW
What’s good?
You know why so many service-based website struggle online?
Because they’re irrelevant.
They either have:
one solitary services page, listing everything they do (BOO)
multiple service pages for everything that they do (GOOD)
But if they have #2, they do it badly.
The content is just not relevant enough.
Case in point - I helped an “animal behaviourist” some years ago (basically an “animal trainer”).
Her website might as well have gone to the glue factory.
But I came through like a wrecking ball and fixed that all up.
I created dedicated service pages for things like dog training and cat training (the core service offering).
I made sure they were relevant af and linked to them from each other, the main services pages and the homepage.
And what happened? these pages began to rank for their relevant queries (instead of just the services page).
Which do you think is gonna convert better for specific searches?
one solitary services page with all services
dedicated service page (for a specific service)
You know what the correct answer is.
When I did what I did, it made complete sense to me and took the business out of the red.
But people still don’t get it. They seem to enjoy the broad and the generic. BOO!
MAXIMISE RELEVANCY.
This is how you WIN on the WWW.
Get specific and get down to the brass tacks.
Avoid the fluff.
Spread the links.
Profit.
You know it makes perfect sense.
Peace,
Jaaved
