Do you like reading walls and walls of text?

I bet you don’t. (really).

So when you look at content on your site, ask yourself:

is it easy to understand what’s going on just by skimming?

Because if it isn’t, it’s time to do this:

• break it up into multiple paragraphs (no more great big wall of words)

• add subheadings (helps for skimmers, helps with context)

• add relevant internal links (use the actual words, not ‘read more’ or ‘click here’

• add images (it can help with context and understanding)

• add alt text to those images (helps search engines and screen readers understand what the image is about)

and my personal favourite: give people a call to action, of sorts.

Want them to contact you? Book in a free call? Sign up to the newsletter? Whatever it is: just tell people what to do!

Do this and tell me things don’t get better for you. I dare you.

But don’t just take my word for it.
