What you insist persists

and how to use that to grow your business

Psychologists tell us what we resist persists. But, in business, the standards you insist on persist. The flip side also is true — what you fail to insist on also persist. Bad habits, for example.

Now, you can’t insist on everything yourself. You need to maintain relations with your team too, you know? Anyway, if you have a large enough team, it is impossible to do this.

That’s where systems come in. They’re very good at insisting on things. For example, if a sales target has been set, you know how insistent it can seem. Especially if incentives are linked to it. This is an extreme example, but it also applies to other systems. How strict or lenient you keep them is up to you.
