We all feel the value
How to see the value of things early
I'll start with an example — to learn Cash flows, you don't necessarily need an in depth class. If you just handle the money for a while, you will know what it is and why it's important.
Yes, this is an over-simplification, but that’s kind of the point too. We don't need to go deep into the details of something to understand the value of it. While it is important to get the details right, the value can be felt much earlier.
Value is a tangible feeling we have as a result of experience. If this seems too obvious to state, then here are some useful points if implemented:
You don't need to do expensive or time consuming research to know there is value
You can use this to pivot to better opportunities quickly
Possible outcomes or the desired outcomes will become clear to you
You don't need to depend on how things were done in the past. You can just feel your way to higher value
All this said, it's not always obvious where the value is unless you go through the experience, just like this article that seems to contradict itself 😂
But, on a serious note, especially in times where you don't know where the value lies, remembering that you don't need to do expensive research goes a long way. This is a simple system you can apply to many things from hiring talent to mergers & acquisitions, or most importantly, to creating systems that run your business for you.
Ciao.
If this helped you, forward it to one business owner you know. That’s how we grow.
