There will be no work left to do
A reflection on how we get held back by silly little thoughts
This is an immediate reaction I always get from people currently doing the work, in the way they know best.
As soon as I show how the new system works and takes care of the heavy bits of their work, they have the same reaction — “There will be no work left to do!”.
This is also a subconscious fear entrepreneurs have. If everything is automated, what the hell am I supposed to do?
Well, first step is to become aware of this.
More importantly, you know that there always are better things to do.
Whatever can be done by a machine or someone else should be done by them, no?
Besides, it is a good exercise for you to list down everything you do, day to day, and see what all could be off your plate.
If fact, here’s a good video [~3 mins] illustrating this. Found this in Blair Enns’s newsletter from a few days ago, so it’s definitely worth adding to your watch later list. Speaking of which, at least you will get time to watch your later list, once you delegate everything successfully :)
Cheerio!
