The applied repetition bias
Identifying the expertise generators in your business
Did you know that radiologists have a better rate of disease detection than doctors?
This is simply because they look at many more x-rays every single day than any doctor.
For lack of creativity and want of a descriptive name, I'll call this the applied repetition bias.
Frequent repetition is one requirement. However, if you don't pay attention in each repetition, then it's just mindless monkeying. That's why applied repetition. I'm calling it a bias simply because it's not usually obvious, like the example on top.
Now, what do you think are the activities that each person in your business is actually being repeated attentively? Those are the expertise generators.
If you don't see any such activity, it simply means the work is disorganised, and most likely your business too.
