SOPs have feelings

Hear me out

I'm not talking about emotions. Every business person knows the value of gut feel, regardless of how much data is presented to them in dashboards.

Feelings are signals.

The kind that you just know and especially after you didn't listen to it you knew you should have listened to it! They're intrinsic to human survival.

Emotions, on the other, hand are a big driving force in people. As someone said, they're the juicy part of thought.

When you write these as part of SOPs, they become juicy and fun to read and follow too.

Just imagine if you try to follow some deeply technical SOP done by one of your team members. As you follow the steps, somewhere in them is a small note just describing how it feels just before a critical, make-or-break piece. Won't you find that so relatable? Won't the work feel a touch lighter?

Most importantly, wouldn't knowledge naturally compound as more and more people add their experiences & refine it together over time?

Try it today 🔥

P.S.: Couldn't think of where to fit this in smoothly, so here goes: SOPs = ‘Standard Operations & Pheelings’
