Solidifying Systems
How to create reliable systems
Let's start with why:
Gives you freedom to move on to bigger things
Once a part is complete, t can work predictably
Only after each part is solid on its own, you can design how they should work together. Otherwise, you'll just have fluid, constantly changing situations to manage
If these seem important, here's how:
Clarify the outcome. What should each piece do?
Experiment. How will it work best? This requires testing in the real world.
Codify. Define and follow SOPs everytime you do that activity. Getting someone else to do it is a simple way to test these.
Connect. Now, you can look at how different processes connect and design how they will work together.
These is the 4 step process you can apply to solidify any system. If a system is too complex to apply this, simply add this process as a part of that system.
