Just like you need to read between the lines, usually, people will have excuses for not using systems.

Simply read between them to figure out what’s stopping them. A few examples are:

• The system is too complicated = simplify the UI/UX

• I updated my entry, but it’s not showing = check accuracy and share confirmation emails or notifications

• I was not told about the new data = notify & highlight via other channels

• It increases work = show how it reduces work in the long term, or how it gives them a lot of value

Similarly, excuse by excuse, you can tighten up your systems easily. Each one of them is an indicator of exactly what to fix.
