Momentum gives you wings
Real wings — to glide over the daily drama
Good systems are quick.
Quick actions & quicker feedback loops.
More than quick, they are consistently quick. This sets a pace and rhythm of activity.
If you wait for a month or a year to give feedback on performance, you are slowing down growth for that amount of time.
If the same feedback is given every week, can you imagine the speed of growth in your organisation?
Jonathan Stark put this perfectly in perspective for me while explaining the benefits of daily vs weekly emails. With weekly emails, you can get 52 pieces of content in a year. But just doing it daily, gives you 7 times more in the same amount of time. Or you get 7 articles out every single week. Can you imagine what an awesome exercise this is?
Imagine what will happen to your business if you keep up such a pace of activity and feedback.
A very beneficial side effect is people simply won't have enough time for distractions.
You can keep a slower pace for certain things, as required. For e.g., slow thinking is often times more productive.
The important thing is to keep things moving, as fast as possible, so people are always working towards their max potential.
Let's face it, we only have a limited amount of time on this planet!
