Mistakes — Some live examples

How a second boo boo helped me tighten my system up.

I was travelling, so I managed to miss sending you guys 2 daily emails in a single day! Can you beat that?
The first date was missed as I sent it after midnight, so the date changed.
The second one was missed because we were travelling and settling in to new things. By the time I found some time, I was half asleep.

But systems are meant to fix all these issues (and more) for us. Here's what I made out of it:

  1. Decided to transfer all drafts also to my email sending software, rather than keeping them in my notes. That way, I can easily select one and send it in case I'm busy.

  2. Created a few scheduled emails for the couple of days I'll be trekking in the mountains. I know for sure I won't get time or even network to send them.

  3. Made it more of a priority to send these earlier in the day, so even if the day gets hectic later, this task is out of the way.

  4. Created at least 4 more topics out of this. You will see these in the near future.

Finally, I understood why they say starting small is good - when you can make all your mistakes without huge damage.

So, if you're holding back on something for fear of not being able to do it or keep it up; go for it!

If nothing else, at least reply back to this email and let me know what it is you’ve not yet taken the plunge for :)
