The best systems are hyper personalized to every individual user. It works exactly the way you see the world.

This is one fundamental reason why a spreadsheet’s simple grid format has ruled for the last 4 decades, with no real alternatives in sight. You can put anything that makes sense to you in those cells and somehow make it work, even if you don't know excel.

Just imagine, if all these complex software you use (or so many new ones coming up everyday) could be tuned to show exactly the way you think and work? How awesome would it be, and how much more could you do‽

Infact, I have a feeling the future of the online advertising world is also this — every as will start using words and language according to what will resonate with you the most. (And hopefully only show what's relevant to me now, not bullshit I can do without)

But, all these bigger implications aside, you can do this in your business starting today. It's called alignment. Whatever the existing systems are, you can always make sure each person on your team (or vendors & clients for that matter) sees the benifits they get.

Maybe you've already tried explaining it to them, but if they still don't use the systems on their own, that can mean only 2 things:

1. They still don't see the benifits over their way

2. The system is not up to mark for them and actually will not help them do their work

Once the reason is clear, then you know what to do.
