Trust in thy systems
Just like with humans, if the systems are transparent, and clearly reflect ground realities, it feels more trustworthy.
Only because you know your weighing scale is accurate, you take it for granted. You may not like the number it shows, but you trust it.
Similarly, in your business, do your systems clarify or create confusion?
Only as long as the users trust the system, they will keep using it. The simplest way for any system to generate trust is to be transparent and accurate.
Fun Fact: I recently discovered that the speedometers in most cars are not accurate — they have quite a bit of variation from the actual speed!
Can you imagine what would you do if the same inaccuracies are there in medical equipment? Hell no, right?
Notice, that trust and reliability is what people need, even more than accuracy!
So, even if you don’t have the most, super accurate system, as long as your people are aware of how it helps, it’s fine. You can always keep refining it.
