Fill in the blanks
The devil is in the details that are not taken care of.
You know those small things that you will get to later?
Especially those fundamental things that look like too much work or you don't know how to do?
You know you need to set a process up for maintaining top-notch quality; but have not yet got to it because it's “maintainance” and not urgent.
These things are the difference between great businesses and the yet to be.
Only way is to roll up your sleeves and just do it. If you don't do it now it will come and bite you in the future. Your choice.
After all, the standards we hold are what shapes the people around us and the business.
Standards are not about throwing your weight around or stretching everyone to it. That's not sustainable.
It's about guiding them there so they understand the importance of it. Otherwise it will not be followed when not enforced.
So, yeah. Don't ignore the little details now. You can then setup systems to simplify and make it consistent. But fill in the blanks now.
Prevention is better than cure, but only if you take action before the disease sets in!
Are there any small details that came back to bite you?
