Feedback Frenquency
How frequent feedback fules the fire of growth
The quicker the feedback, the quicker the growth.
Systems that wait for a year to give a performance review are actually appraisal review isn't it?
Just like that, if you give or get feedback immediately, that much quicker changes can be made.
If you want something to become faster, simply increased the speed of feedback.
The other, very useful side effect of this is that it hits lesser. If you give the feedback daily, it will not only be correctly, it will also be that much more effective & easy to correct every single day.
On the other hand, if every small and big mistake is told to you only after a year, I'm sure it will hurt more.
Last but not least, frequent feedback normalises a culture of fixing mistakes to grow; versus letting things pile up in individuals or organisation.
Feedback is best built into systems, as part of regular updates.
Most importantly, deliver it when the person is receptive.
